A Short History
of Command

Established in 1969, Command is the industry’s most seasoned provider of high-quality truck and RV parts, including lighting, wire harness, and injection-molded components. Throughout the years, we have continually focused on innovation, expansion, and the enhancement of our core product lines. With extensive capabilities and a commitment to customer satisfaction, we are a reliable source for an array of essential parts. As a third-generation, family-owned business, our close-knit team is dedicated to exceeding your expectations.

1969

Command Electronics is founded by Joe Campagna with a primary focus on manufacturing and distributing residential CB radio base stations and intercom systems for fifth-wheel travel trailers.

1973

Joe’s sons, Cary and Dan Campagna, join the team.

1974

The company begins manufacturing lighting for the recreational vehicle industry along with wire harnesses, clocks, vacuum-formed plastic and woodworking components primarily sold to the conversion van business.

1980

Command continues to focus on the recreation vehicle industry and growing our catalog.

1984

 Injection molding capabilities are added.

1999

Joe Campagna retires and Cary Campagna becomes president.

2010

Cary’s son, Chris Campagna, joins Command as Vice President, taking over for Dan.

2013

Cary’s daughter, Beth Kindle-Campagna, joins Command as Sales Manager.

2014

Command expands manufacturing capabilities and distribution of a wide range of parts and products.

2020

Command focuses on further enhanced wire harness capabilities to support the commercial lawn care equipment sector.

2024

 Command continues to develop new lighting systems, many of which are made in Schoolcraft, MI. and supplied to a variety of OEM customers.
